At Kaleido*Kids, it’s important for us to be cost-conscious for families.

A note from Lori, Kaleido*Kids’ owner...

I think everyone can agree that paying almost $3,000 a month for child care is not sustainable for most families. And while we are located in Bucktown, which comes with Bucktown prices to run our business, we feel it’s possible to have a successful business that takes care of our team members (see table at bottom of page) and also takes care of families by not charging monthly rates that are almost than twice what a mortgage would be.

For this reason, we’re making a conscious effort to keep our rates lower than most of our competitors- we’re $400 less per month than the daycares in the surrounding area. And every year we’ll reevaluate to ensure we’re doing everything we can to make childcare costs more manageable for parents (sorry suburbs, but we want our families to stay in the city!) We should note: over the past eight years since we opened, we’ve raised our rates for current families only twice (4% increase in 2017 & 2023).
